Maxid Scanner
The MAXID scanner is a hand held device that is equipped with a wireless device to connect to your server.
The system can be configured in various ways and is dependent on the specific needs of the customer.
The unit is used by the security officer at the boom gate to scan driver’s licenses of visitors to the site. A driver’s license consists of a 2-D barcode, which contains all the details of the driver, including his/her photograph.
The system will warn the security officer if the license has expired, and the photo can also be compared to the driver of the vehicle – in this way the information on the license can be verified, and the necessary action can be taken. Furthermore, the guard can scan the barcode on the car’s license disc.
Additionally, unique barcodes can be assigned to each building or office inside a business park, so that access to specific areas can be monitored at the boom gate.
The scanned information is transmitted wirelessly to a central computer data base. The system therefore records who arrived, the license and registration of the vehicle, the time of arrival, and where the individual visited on the site. All this information can automatically be sent to the receptionist at the intended building to be visited.
The monthly rental on this unit includes the software and basic setup. More specific requirements can be developed or set up at an additional once-off fee.
At housing complexes, the system can be set up to link all labourers in a vehicle to the driver. Their individual ID books will be scanned and linked to the driver and the vehicle. The system will now be able to tell if any of the labourers did not scan out at the end of the day.
