Maxi Track Active Guard
Through the introduction of this technology, Maxi Security has developed a unique management solution which we have called Maxi Manage, which monitors the patrolling patterns of Security Officers. The product is state of the art and is at the forefront of tracking technology by replacing the limited conventional R/F Radio with a GPRS Modem (Cell Phone Technology).
Maxi Track uses a baton reader and RFID tags which record the movements and location of people or assets, as required. In the case of a site which is being patrolled by a security officer, the RFID tags are placed at strategic locations on the site, and the security official’s movements on the site are monitored via the baton reader which he carries. The site supervisor is able to access the data on the baton reader, and verify the specific patrolling patterns of the security officers, as the baton provides date and time data in real time. The system is on-line, and is linked to the area manager and response vehicle, as well as to the site office and Maxi Security’s head office control room.
Due to the GPRS link used to relay the information gathered on site, the control room is able to monitor within seconds of the Security Officer reaching a specific point, and is therefore immediately notified when a point is not reached.
The standard patrol monitoring systems have radio frequency to communicate with the system and the limited bandwidth restricts the system to simply reporting 4 alarm conditions, namely failed patrol, missing guard, good patrol and panic.
The panic button is a static button on the standard patrol monitoring system. Active Guard, on the other hand, describes the exact point reached with a time and date stamp. The panic button on the baton is functional on any point of the alarm panel and is monitored with a long range transmitter.
With the baton essentially being a cell phone, the Security Officer can be called while on patrol and can immediately be contacted to relay the emergency being experienced. The baton has a “Please Call Me” facility - should the Security Officer need assistance in a situation that is not an emergency, he can use this function, which is monitored by our 24 Hour control room.
Maxi Track management tools enable our clients to draw reports and monitor the service provided in real time without the need to request the report from Maxi Security.
FEATURES
- The system is user friendly and does not require any upgrade in technology nor specific software to enable the user to access data.
- The data is posted to the interactive web based service (web page) and is accessible via the use of an access code issued to the client.
- The system enforces a transparent service ethic, commitment, and service delivery, adding value to your organization.
- Any information scanned with Maxi Track Active Guard, including the ID cards of the security officers, is sent through the GPRS network to a web based program (web page), and this enables the client to receive specific data related to the security officers by setting of alarms such as missed inspection, timely inspections, please call me and panics.
- Furthermore, certain situations can be found on inspection and sent to the web based operating system, thereby highlighting problems found on inspection between two specific points.
- RFID tags are placed strategically, thereby forcing the person/s who was instructed to do the patrols to physically scan the tag, which in turn notifies the web based program that a certain point was checked and a date and time could be linked to it. All this happens in real time so no disputes can arise.
- The unit is compact and light. It looks similar to a “DSTV” remote and is fitted with a SIM card (GPRS – Cell Phone Technology). It has 3 (three) buttons – a Scanning of RFID Tag button, a “Please Call Me” button, and a Panic button.
Note: No calls can be made from the unit, but calls can be received. The unit can be called at any time, ie. the unit can be phoned and a conversation can take place between the operator of the web based program or control room or any other supervisor who has the number. The handset picks up automatically after 4 (four) rings.
- The system can also be used to monitor time and attendance of contractors and personnel by scanning of there RFID - ID tags.
- The unit comes with a charger which gives 3 (three) days battery life.
- The unit is waterproof and can be submerged in water for 3 (three) hours.
- The system is unique in the market and is currently highly respected for its uses.
